Machine Skill, by Airsup: an open source skill for Claude Code. One line in, a photoreal simulation out: real dimensions, real materials, moving on real physics, in a single HTML file. Plus the film to post it.
npx skills add AirsupHQ/machine-skillEvery frame is three.js in a browser, recorded by the skill's own script. Every number on screen comes from a solver.
Type the line under a machine into Claude Code and you get a page like this one. Open it: drag the slider, cut it open, take it apart, break it. More machines are on the way.
The skill is a SKILL.md Claude reads, a small runtime every page inlines, and a recorder. No build step, no dependencies beyond three.js from a pinned CDN.
Claude writes down the real dimensions, the parts in assembly order, the 3 to 6 equations that make the machine work, the number you care about and the failure an engineer worries about.
Closed solids at real size: lathe turned parts, twisted airfoils, involute gears, routed pipes, bolt circles. Measured metals, paints and glass on a softbox studio set.
A small honest model runs every frame and drives every motion and number: a Brayton cycle, a nozzle solution, slider crank kinematics, a pump curve against a heartbeat.
One command records a 28 second film in numbered beats: the line typed, the machine assembling, the solver running, the cutaway, the break. Music bed included.
